Creative Director - Digital

Boxing Clever

2008 - 2012

In charge of building the digital capabilities for the start-up agency Boxing Clever. Specialized in digital branding, social media strategy and planning digital consumer campaigns. Guided Boxing Clever conceptual work for such brands as Woodford Reserve Bourbon, St. Louis Rams, GroupMNext, St. Louis International Airport, Tuaca Liqueur, Chambord Vodka, Corzo Tequila, O'Fallon Beer, DogHouse PC Gaming Systems, Fox Theatre.

Managed a team of digital designers and interactive project managers. Lead digital brainstorm sessions and held group conversations on new marketing tools and technologies. Reinforced best practices in designing, developing and implementing effective digital tactics and campaigns. Assembled pitches and presentations and demonstrated how digital concepts laddered up to other non-digital consumer touchpoints within a campaign. Supervised the assignment of development teams and presenting the core user engagement plans along with user flow, wireframes and functional specifications.

2007 - 2008

Worked with multiple brand teams in the St. Louis and Chicago offices to distribute "digital thinking" across creative, production and account service lines. Assisted other brand creative directors and art directors to develop and fine tune digital concepts and design. Reported directly to executive creative director. Worked directly on digital campaigns for Splenda, Exxon Mobil, eBay, Microsoft.

Zipatoni

2000 - 2007

Joined Zipatoni in 2000 (Promo Agency of the Year) and worked directly with the digital creative director to create and execute online tactics for brands such as Motorola, Bacardi, Edy's Ice Cream and Maytag. Helped hire and mentor interactive designers and trained staff on user experience / user interface best practices.


Creative Director

Digital Lagoon

1995 - 2000

Joined as Digital Art Director in 1995. Worked with designers, developers, and writers on multimedia campaigns. Directed digital creative concepts for several brands including Allegra, Garmin, Hostess, AMC Theatres, and Sprint. Supervised digital designers, art directors, developers and copywriters.

Gained experience in CD-ROM digital presentations, touch-screen kiosk interface design, web design and video. Improved digital design skills in Flash, motion graphics (After Effects), digital video editing, interface design, user experience strategy, HTML and CSS.

Hill's Pet Nutrition

1993 -1995

Worked as a designer on Science Diet and Prescription Diet brands. Worked with the communications director to create newsletters, posters, brochures, sales kits, interactive presentations and other marketing communication materials.
